| Beschreibung | The eighth part of Nina Rassen's original rock opera. The work is part of a larger universe based on the legend of the heraldic Panther-Bull from a Bavarian manuscript (1530–1540). The plot takes us to Venice, where a carnival tribunal over the goddess Venus unfolds. At the center of the plot, Venus stands trial. The Senator defends her, seeing her as a living deity. The judges in black cloaks and golden masks try to condemn her, but Venus takes off her mask and escapes. At this moment, a miniature pig in a baroque costume appears — a symbol of wealth and freedom. The pig steals the golden mask, and the grim army of judges rushes into a mad chase through the canals of Venice. Golden coins start pouring out of the pig, and the old shaman who appears starts dancing, turning everything into a carnival. In the finale, Venus and the Senator find each other, and the motto of the coat of arms «Catena fracta, furor libertate redit» (The chain is broken — fury returns with freedom) becomes the climax of the entire story. |
